BUS IN SHOWS

Steve Trash offers three educational – BUS-IN SHOWS – for Performing Arts Venues.

Each show has been specifically written, produced, and field-tested (over the last 18 years), for BUS-IN school audiences (K-6). Each 55 minute show contains magic, music, funny stuff, and tons of curriculum-based science ideas that kids WANT to learn!

These shows are curriculum based (study guides available), teacher friendly (shows reinforce classroom learning), and kids LOVE LOVE LOVE these rockin’ shows!

Some kids (and even some of their teachers) have declared Steve’s shows to be the… “best field-trip ever!”

show #1 – STEVE TRASH SCIENCE – LIVE SHOW

What is science? What is the scientific method? What is the EDP – Engineering Design Process? Why is science different than magic?

show #2 – SCIENCE OF ECOLOGY SHOW

What are the magic words (they are Reduce Reuse Recycle) for making your trash disappear? Why is there no “away” in nature? What does renewable mean?

show #3 – ECOLOGY IS AWESOME SHOW

What is ecology? What is pollution and why does it matter? What is the water cycle and how does it work? Why is fresh water so important?

WHAT FOLKS SAY

“You were fantastic. What a wonderful production! So easy to work with, so impactful for our students, so engaging and entertaining!”  Justin Gomlak – Director of Education – VanWezel PAC – FL

“Steve Trash was a total delight—not only did he put on an informative and fun show for the students of central Ohio, he also was so gracious when working with our production team and volunteers.  A class act!”  Amy Handra – Director of Education – CAPA – Lincoln Theatre – OH

“We truly enjoyed the Steve Trash: Ecology is Awesome performance at SKyPAC. Steve held the kids attention and made them laugh while teaching them about the environment. It was a nice addition to the month of April when we celebrate Earth Day.”
Tiffany Deaton – SKyPAC Education Coordinator – KY

“Kudos! Rockin’ Eco Hero (Steve) was very charming and personable, several of the groups met up with him outside the building and he graciously chatted with them. By all accounts, we had a happy crowd!”
Karen Wilson – Maxwell King Performing Arts Center – FL

“I would gladly recommend you to any teacher. We left THE STRAZ THEATRE with smiles on our faces, a great understanding of the recycling process and were truly entertained. My favorite parts were the solar energy cord, the flash cards, your respect for teachers and of course your songs! YOU ROCK!”

– Email from a Teacher following STEVE TRASH: Science of Ecology shows in Tampa, Florida

“We really enjoyed the show… there was an overwhelming vote of approval from the teachers!”
Emily Brickler – Managing Director – Leach Theatre – MO

“I heard from our volunteers that the first show was fantastic! I saw half of the second show and witnessed Steve’s important message to our youth and adults, his show is fun, interactive, and like he says, rockin’, but with one pointedness, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!!! Rock on Steve!”

Nada Sterns – Director – One World Theatre – Austin, Texas

“We asked Steve Trash to come and be the opener for Super Science Week at Greystone Elementary because we thought he would excite the kids and get them ready for a week of science fun. However, we got so much more than what we expected. Not only was Steve hilarious and educational, he gave the students a beginning understanding that science is the study of the natural world around us and that magic is where you seem to defy the laws of science, but we all know we can’t! This knowledge helped with the experiments done later in the week when the kids remembered it was impossible to go against the laws of science and then began to investigate the reasons the trick worked.
